Men, husbands—this is a call to stand in the gap for your marriage. This isn't about convenience; it's a sacred covenant of self-sacrifice, reflecting how Christ gave Himself for the Church (Ephesians 5:25). God’s design from the beginning was permanence—two becoming one flesh, a bond He never intended to be broken (Matthew 19:4-6). Divorce is not His plan; it is a concession to the hardness of our hearts (Matthew 19:8).
You are called to be the leader in your home. This means you must be the first to confront your own dysfunction, your own insecurities, and your own sin. You are called to lead in repentance, to model a love that is patient and perseveres through every trial (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Even when faced with betrayal, you have the power in Christ to offer radical forgiveness, just as you have been forgiven (Ephesians 4:32).
Your home is your first ministry. How you lead your wife and family is how you impact the world. Divorce is not an option. It's time to rise up, endure hardship, and recommit to the vow you made.
Will you be the man who stays and fights for your family?
