Why Nations Hate Israel.
Israel's position of military strength against much larger adversaries has perplexed many nations. On June 16, 2025, the BBC noted the stark contrast between Israel’s nine million citizens and Iran’s 88 million, yet emphasized Israel's military sophistication and powerful alliances, particularly with the United States, as key reasons behind its ability to counter larger threats.
However, when you pause to view this from a biblical and eternal perspective, the explanation is even deeper and profoundly spiritual. The Bible speaks of Israel’s divine favor and protection, which stretches over centuries. Consider Exodus 19, where God, through Moses, reminds Israel of the miraculous deliverance from Egypt. He declares, “Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.” This is no ordinary history. It is an eternal truth about God’s chosen people, His covenant with them, and His unyielding promise of protection.
Exodus 19 goes even further, proclaiming Israel as a “peculiar treasure” unto God. Though many nations throughout history have been driven by jealousy and the intent to erase this people group, they overlook a critical reality. The attack on Israel is not just an attack on people; it is a challenge to God Himself. And as Exodus 14 powerfully declares: “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
This is not guesswork. These biblical truths are living history. Time and time again, we see God’s promise fulfilled through the extraordinary preservation of Israel. His hand continues to guide and protect, demonstrating once and for all that His covenant is eternal. To stand against God’s plan is impossible.
The story of Israel affirms that when God is for us, no force, regardless of its size or power, can prevail against us.
