It’s Not the Translation. It’s the Consecration. I remember a discussion I had years ago with a theologian named Jack Deere. He was an associate professor of Old Testament at Dallas Seminary before he became a charismatic pastor. He was a friend of mine and the first person to alert me to the mistake of debating Greek and Hebrew definitions for the sake of winning arguments about translations. If Jesus were sitting down talking to you right now, what would He be talking to you about? He would address the spirit coming off you. Our bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost. We're not our own. We are bought with a price. Life is about Christ in me, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). The spirit of holiness, the spirit of burning. That's what you need. You need it now as you've never needed it before. Others may compromise standards and talk around you and excuse their actions by their circumstances. They may not even like you. Stand strong on the Word.
