Get Your Affirmation from Heaven. You are called to realign your life with God’s will, just as Jesus demonstrated through His unwavering obedience to God when He began His ministry. At His baptism, Jesus had to correct John the Baptist, who tried to get Jesus to baptize him.
Matthew 3:13-15 KJV. “Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.”
Jesus held firmly to what God wanted, even though He had to correct John, whom He loved. As a result, Jesus received divine affirmation from Heaven when God declared, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17 KJV).
This pivotal moment set the standard for Jesus’ life and ministry, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling all righteousness through complete obedience.
Christians are reminded that incomplete obedience is disobedience. Correction, though sometimes resisted, is a necessary part of God’s grace to keep us aligned with His purpose. Whether or not you are called to preach, you are meant to carry God’s revelations into the world. God’s affirmation is available to you today if you seek Him with faith and a willing heart (Hebrews 11:6 KJV).
Obedience and righteousness are crucial to receiving God’s affirmation. Reflect on whether areas of your life need correction and surrender completely to His will. Take intentional action, pursue God’s affirmation, and align your heart with His purpose. Like Christ, walk in faith and boldness to fulfill all that God has ordained for your life.
