From Misalignment to Godly Roles. In His infinite wisdom, God established a divine order, a plan for righteousness and responsibility that echoes from Genesis into eternity. This isn't just ancient history; it's a living truth for us today. The Lord formed man first. Only after establishing the man’s leadership did God create the woman. He said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him" (Genesis 2:18). Woman was created to be a powerful complement to man, designed to validate and help fulfill the vision God had already given him.
This created order is not a suggestion. God’s Word is filled with commands, not recommendations. He commands us to live holy lives. God's divine order was disrupted in the Garden by Adam's passivity and failure to lead when his wife was confronted by the serpent. This brought disorder and misalignment.
Paul instructs husbands to love their wives "as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her" (Ephesians 5:25). Christ in us is the solution for misalignment, restoring order and purpose to our lives.
Godly leadership is not just about a harmonious home. It is about preparing for eternal responsibilities. This life is a training ground for righteous roles in the world to come.
